Jim W. Adams
Jim W. Adams is a Professor of Bible and Theology at Life Pacific College, located in San Dimas, California. He has earned a B.A. degree in Bible with an emphasis in Biblical Languages from Life Pacific College, an M.A. in Biblical Studies from Azusa Pacific University, and a Ph.D. in Theology with an emphasis in Old Testament from Fuller Theological Seminary. He specializes in hermeneutics, Old Testament studies, theology, and Hebrew and Greek. He has authored a book and several articles.

Mark Duzik
Mark Duzik has served the Foursquare Church for over 25 years as a lead pastor, staff pastor, and Associate Professor and Chair of the Biblical Studies program at Life Pacific College. He received his B.A. from LIFE, M.A. from Azusa Pacific University, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. through Asia Life University. A New Testament generalist, Mark teaches courses on the Gospels, Romans, 1 Peter, and Greek at LIFE and Azusa Pacific University. He has been married to his much-better half for nearly thirty years and has four delightful daughters.

Frank Markow
He holds a B.A. in Biblical Studies from Patten University, an M.A. in Church Ministries from Church of God Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership from the School of Global Leadership and Entrepreneurship at Regent University. He has served as an associate pastor at the San Leandro, Ca. Foursquare Church, where he developed and directed a training institute. He was previously Associate Professor in Biblical Studies, Chair of Christian Leadership, Executive Director of External Programs at Patten University in Oakland, Ca. and the Associate Director for the Church of God Theological Seminary Northern California Extension Center. Dr. Markow is on the editorial board of the International Journal of Leadership Studies, a member of the Academy of Management and the International Leadership Association, has presented at academic conferences and has been published in peer reviewed journals and books. His research interests are in the areas of vocational calling, organizational behavior, leadership development and adult education.

David Moore
Dr. David Moore is an associate professor and has been with Life Pacific College since 1996. David holds two earned doctorates (D.Min. 1999; Ph.D. 2008) from Regent University School of Divinity, where he taught four years as a visiting professor. He also teaches as an adjunct professor for Regent University and Church of God Theological Seminary. David authored The Shepherding Movement: Controversy and Charismatic Ecclesiology published in 2003 by T & T Clark, now in a second printing. He co-wrote with Jack Hayford The Charismatic Century: The Enduring Impact of the Azusa Street Revival, published by Warner Faith in 2006.

Michael Salmeier
Dr. Michael A. Salmeier is the Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Bible and Theology at Life Pacific College. He received his D.Phil. from the University of Oxford. A revised version of his doctoral thesis is due out in 2011 as Restoring the Kingdom: The Role of God as the “Ordainer of Times and Seasons” in the Acts of the Apostles, published in the Princeton Theological Monograph Series. Dr. Salmeier has taught at Azusa Pacific University and Talbot School of Theology and has given presentations in various venues from local churches to national conferences.

Terry Samples
Terry Samples received his B.A. from LIFE Bible College in 1976, M.A. in Religion and Social Ethics from Azusa Pacific University in 1990, going on to complete a doctorate in the same field at the University of Southern California in 1997. His leadership experience spans teaching, administrative, ministry, and pastoral fields. Beginning in youth ministry in 1976, Samples went on to become the Foursquare National Youth Director, a senior pastor and hold various directorships in the Foursquare church. Since 1997, Samples has held a professorship at Life Pacific College and an adjunct professorship at APU. He currently lives in San Dimas with his wife, Gayle. His specialty is in Leadership and Ethics in the Church. He regularly teaches and speaks in churches and conferences around the globe.

Mark Schwartz
Mark Schwartz is an Assistant Professor of English at Life Pacific College, the Chair of the General Education Department, and the Director of the Writing Center. He graduated from Vanguard University (formerly Southern California College) with a B.A. in English in 1994, and from California State University Long Beach with an M.A. in English Literature in 2003. He is currently working on his Ph.D. in Education at Walden University. His research interest is in critical thinking as it applies to higher education.

Carol Shelton
Carol Shelton, the Director of Fine Arts Department and assistant professor in Humanities at Life Pacific College. Carol’s background as a professional equity actress, recording artist, founder and producer of a children’s theatre as well as her education from Occidental College (English, Music, Theatre) and Pacific Oaks College (Human Development) have contributed to a rich and varied palette of interests and life long learning. Her graduate research in how the brain learns and retains information has contributed to her devotion to integrating the arts and interdisciplinary techniques into education. Carol describes herself as “the yellow school bus teacher” for college students: her goal is to make learning an enjoyable adventure.

Dan Stewart
Dr. Dan Stewart is the Chair of the Transformational BA at Life Pacific College and former President of LPC. He has served as a Pastor in four significant churches, and as LEAD Director for the Foursquare Church which was a training and equipping program for Pastors. He has traveled for over 35 years to East Africa, training, teaching and raising up leaders in the Mt. Kenya area. He joined Life Pacific’s faculty 24 years ago, and has continued to teach and Pastor while raising up younger leaders to engage this world. He has taught at three significant Universities and He is married to Connie and has three awesome children. He continues to teach, write, and leads yearly teams to Africa and Israel.

Brian Tomhave
Brian Tomhave has served as the Director of Distance Learning at LPC since 1999 and as Associate Dean for Non-Traditional Studies since 2010. He is a graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute, Life Pacific College, and Fuller Theological Seminary. He is currently pursuing an Ed.D. in Instructional Technology & Distance Education through Nova Southeastern University. He is committed to helping make education accessible to students by removing geographical, financial, and structural barriers.

Karen Tremper
Karen is an Associate Professor in Bible and Theology at Life Pacific College. She is also the Director of Global Life. She has earned degrees: a B.A. in Home Economic with an emphasis in Food Service from California State University, Fresno, an MAT from Fuller Theological Seminary and just finished her Ph.D. at the School of Intercultural studies at Fuller Theological Seminary. Prior to her coming to LPC, Karen and her husband Mark worked with Wycliffe Bible Translators as linguists working among Eastern Keres Pueblo Indians for 10 years. She has also served with Youth With a Mission as a staff person and then as the director of Discipleship Training Schools in Harpenden, UK. Karen is passionate about teaching and training this generation of emerging leaders using the globe as her classroom.
