Life Pacific College will cease offering courses through the online independent study format during the 2013/14 academic year. Active courses are subject to the independent study course policies as stated in the 2012/13 catalog. The last day students can enroll in online independent study courses is:
- Non-degree seeking students (except for those enrolled in an ELN program with a signed agreement) are no longer able to enroll in a course as of July 1, 2013.
- Traditional undergraduate students are no longer able to enroll in a course as of September 14, 2013.
- Online BA degree completion students are no longer able to enroll in a course (other than 4 Bible courses: Intro to Biblical Literature, Pentateuch, Synoptic Gospels, and History of Ancient Israel) as of September 14, 2013.
- Participants in Foursquare’s Emerging Leader Network (ELN) who have not previously enrolled in a course with a signed scholarship agreement will not be able to enroll as of October 1, 2013.
Courses ordered on or after July 1, 2013 must be completed within six months of the order date. No extensions are allowed.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact Amanda Parrish, Independent Study Program Assistant, at 909-599-5433 x359 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Board of Trustees at Life Pacific College has decided to discontinue offering courses in the independent study format. As part of the transition process, LPC will continue allowing students enrolled in the traditional residential programs and Virginia/Ignite extension site to order independent study courses until noon, September 13, 2013.
If you are planning on using independent study to supplement your path to your degree, we encourage you to order the course/s as soon as possible this summer. As always, you should be in contact with the Registrar’s Office to order courses. Please note that if you are planning to count independent study courses as part of your full time enrollment for the Fall semester and are using financial aid, you cannot order your courses until the first week of school. Once the fall semester starts, you will have a final two week window, until noon, September 13, to order courses.
Please note that we are no longer allowing a six month extension for any course orders. All courses ordered after July 1, 2013 must be completed within the initial six month deadline since the DL Office will be operating with minimal staff as of January 1, 2014.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact the Distance Learning Office at 909-706-3059.
