Jumpstart your future
Start College Early with LPU’s Online Dual Enrollment Program – Earn Credits for Today and Tomorrow!
Admission Requirements
To be eligible for the Dual Enrollment courses offered by Life Pacific University, students must be juniors or seniors in high school. Additionally, they must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and provide a recommendation from a high school counselor or teacher. Students may begin taking college courses as early as the summer after 10th grade, but they can only enroll in one course the first time to ensure they are able to meet university-level demands.
If a student successfully passes the course, LPU will allow the student to register in up to two courses (6 credits) at a time (8 weeks) to ensure academic success.
Submit Transcripts
Submit a current unofficial high school transcript or a homeschool transcript showing the completion of 10th grade and the most up-to-date GPA (this can be a copy of an original transcript or a printout from the school’s website).
Maintain 3.5 GPA
Demonstrate a record of academic excellence (3.5 GPA or higher).
Recommendation Letter
Prospective high school students are required to submit a recommendation letter from a teacher or administrator, while prospective home school students must provide a recommendation letter from their pastor.
Course Materials
Digital textbooks are used for some of the courses in the Dual Enrollment program. While most courses have all content embedded into the online site, some may require additional books or material that is purchased separately from MBS Direct. It is recommended that you purchase your course materials at least 10 days before the start of your course(s) to ensure timely delivery. When ordering, please verify whether you are enrolled in an 8-week or 16-week course format.
Course Offerings
Students in the Dual Enrollment program can choose between the following OUG courses:
- 100-level courses and a selected number of 200-level courses. Offering ENG101 and ENG103.
- Students can complete up to 36 units toward a degree. If approved by the Academic Office students might be able to complete a full AA degree (see LPU’s Academic Programs here). Each course counts as 3 units of credits once completed successfully.
Tution & Cost
If you are interested in taking college-level courses while still in high school, the dual enrollment program at LPU may be a great option for you. This program allows you to earn college credits that can be transferred to other universities or used towards a degree at LPU. However, it is important to understand the cost of tuition and any associated fees before enrolling in the program.
- The tuition for the dual enrollment program is $300 per course.
- This rate applies to both in-state and out-of-state students.
- The program allows for a maximum of 6 units per semester.
- Some courses may have additional fees, such as lab fees or materials fees, which are not included in the base tuition cost.
- It is important to note that financial aid may be available for qualifying students, and there are also scholarship opportunities for high-achieving students.
