Daniel E. Ruarte, ED.D.
Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs
Dr. Daniel Ruarte is the Provost & Vice President of Academic Affairs at Life Pacific University (www.lifepacific.edu). Before this role, he was the founding program director of the MA in Leadership and led the development efforts for three new academic programs. Furthermore, Dr. Ruarte has been an adjunct professor in theology, ministry, leadership, and Bible, at Indiana Wesleyan University, Azusa Pacific University, and Life Pacific University. He has practical experience as an educator, entrepreneur, business owner, pastor, church planter, author, and speaker. An academic administrator with the passion of a scholar and the heart of a pastor. He has published two books, (currently available in Spanish), “Liderazgo y Ecclesia” 2019 and “Diseño de Vida” 2020 as well as participated in a collaborative chapter book titled “Los Profetas” 2022. Most importantly, his passion and desire is to “develop leaders who transform lives, impact their local communities, and influence the world” all for the Glory of God.
He currently serves as a university executive over all degree programs, faculty, library, registrar's office and academic affairs, has been a senior pastor for over fifteen years and continues to pastor a Latino church in Long Beach (La Iglesia en el Camino). Loves serving God at the local church with his wife Yadira and two children, David (15) and Sarah (12).
Education
He holds a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, from Azusa Pacific University, a second Master of Arts in Strategic Leadership, from Life Pacific University and a Doctoral degree in Education, from the University of Southern California (USC).
