About Steve Mickell

Steve Mickel serves as Foursquare’s Northwest District Supervisor and is focused on the target of more and growing leaders together on mission. In his role as supervisor, he champions the recruitment, development, and sending of leaders through Foursquare missiology and identity.

Steve Mickel’s life mission is to help people discover their God-given purpose and live it out in relationships with others. A longtime Foursquare leader, Steve graduated in 1994 from LIFE Bible College. He later returned and completed a master’s degree in strategic leadership. The following year, he and his wife, Suzanne, planted Sisters Foursquare Church (Wellhouse Church, Inc.) in Sisters, Ore. After six years there, the Mickels went to the mission field in Croatia before returning to Oregon in 2007. Steve and Suzanne have been married for 30 years and have four sons: Chase, Hudson, Kincade, and Spencer. In 2016, Steve and Suzanne’s oldest son Chase died in a one-car accident. Steve’s book, Walking in the Dark, chronicles his journey of trusting God again after this tragedy. Steve loves spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, and enjoying the outdoors.
