Life Pacific University student, Saysha Brown, spent her summer interning at Yakima Foursquare Church in Yakima, Washington alongside lead pastors, two-time LPU alumna Pastor Chantal Edler (’13 & ’22) and her husband, Pastor Jacob Edler.
Over the course of her internship, Saysha got the opportunity to experience children’s ministry as she was involved in ministry through local camps and Vacation Bible School. Saysha also received hands-on experience with videography, photography, and social media and how to use these creative outlets to serve the Church and the Kingdom. She worked alongside LPU alumna, Anais Macias (’23) who serves as Yakima Foursquare’s Media and Communications Pastor.Â
Saysha says about her time at Yakima, “Through the internship, God taught me how to step out in faith and appreciate the different ways Christians can serve God”.
We love seeing our students spend their summers serving the Kingdom in various contexts. The ultimate mission of LPU is to develop transformational leaders prepared to serve God in the Church, the workplace, and the world, and through these internships, our students are fulfilling this mission.
