Life Pacific University Expands Access to Higher Education with New Online Dual Enrollment Program for High School Students

San Dimas, CA – Life Pacific University (LPU), a regionally accredited Christian university, is proud to announce the launch of its Online Dual Enrollment Program, designed to provide high school students with early access to college-level courses and credit. The program is fully accredited by the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) and the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).

This new initiative allows qualified sophomores, juniors, and seniors in high school to enroll in fully online courses taught by expert LPU faculty, earning college credit while simultaneously fulfilling high school graduation requirements. The program not only accelerates students’ academic journeys but also fosters a seamless transition into higher education.

“We’re excited to offer high school students the opportunity to experience the rigor and richness of college education through a Christ-centered lens,” said Sara Huson, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing at LPU. “This program makes college more accessible, affordable, and achievable—especially for students who are ready to take the next step in their academic and spiritual growth.”

For many families, the program is already making a lasting impact. Jake, a pastor and father of a dual enrollment student, shared:
“The dual enrollment program has been an amazing opportunity for my son. Since 7th grade, Jack has known he has wanted to go to Life Pacific and dual enrollment has given him an opportunity to get a jumpstart on that dream. Jack has taken classes from a community college as well, but the environment of the online classes with LPU has helped him to grow in his relationship with Jesus and others who are pursuing God’s call on their lives. Dual enrollment at LPU has provided an onramp for my son to pursue his dream of attending LPU.”

Students can begin taking courses as early as the summer after their 10th-grade year. Each course offers 3 units of credit, and after successfully completing the first course, students may enroll in up to two courses per 8-week term. With flexibility built in, students may earn up to 36 college credits, and in some cases, complete an Associate of Arts degree before graduating high school (pending academic approval).

Jack, a current dual enrollment student, echoed his father’s enthusiasm:
“I’m so grateful my dad encouraged me to pursue dual enrollment with LPU. After completing my second semester, I’ve grown so much—especially in my spiritual life. The classes have equipped me with practical wisdom to overcome challenges, deepen my relationship with God, and reflect His love to those around me.”

The program tuition is set at an affordable $300 per course, or $100 per credit, with additional site-based fees applicable at select partner locations.
