Life Pacific University (LPU) is proud to announce the launch of its first-ever Bachelor of Arts in Psychology (Online), with classes beginning this fall. The inaugural cohort consists of 29 students, including 20 who are enrolled through LPU’s growing network of Micro Campuses across the country.
“This is such a significant moment for us as a university,” said Sara Huson, Vice President of Enrollment and Marketing. “We are excited to see so many students, especially from our Micro Campuses, take this important step. It’s a privilege to walk alongside them as they prepare to make an impact in the psychology field.”
The fully online program expands LPU’s mission of equipping Spirit-empowered leaders by providing students everywhere with access to a Christ-centered foundation in psychology. Whether their future is in counseling, education, ministry, or community care, students gain both the flexibility of online learning and the rigor of an accredited degree.
“We’ve designed this program to meet students where they are—geographically and academically—while providing them with a robust foundation in psychological principles rooted in Christian values,” said Dr. Carole Gilmore, PhD, LPC-S, Chair of the Online Undergraduate Psychology Program. “Our online format doesn’t just offer convenience; it creates opportunities for students to immediately apply what they’re learning in their own communities. I’m incredibly excited to see how these 29 students will integrate their faith with evidence-based psychological practices as they begin this journey toward serving others.”
Prof. Carissa Hawksworth, Dean of Arts and Sciences, added: “We are thrilled to offer the same high-quality traditional program in an online format to allow individuals from around the globe to prepare for ministry in the helping professions.”
By offering this program online, LPU is expanding opportunities for students who feel called to psychology but require the flexibility to study from where they live and serve. Every student is prepared not only academically, but also spiritually, to serve others with excellence and compassion.
Life Pacific University remains committed to equipping Spirit-empowered leaders who will transform the world for Christ—whether in the church, the workplace, or the field of psychology.
