Life Pacific University is pleased to announce significant growth and expanded impact of the McPherson Preaching Institute (MPI) Ministry Toolkit throughout 2025. As a central hub for Pentecostal preaching development, the Ministry Toolkit continues to equip pastors, students, and ministry leaders with accessible, Spirit-empowered resources for faithful and effective preaching.
In 2025, MPI launched two new micro-certificates on Women in Leadership and The Art of Preaching within the Toolkit and produced several standalone teaching videos addressing key ministry topics such as NextGen ministry and preaching as worship.
In a significant step toward broader accessibility, MPI also recorded its first video in Spanish, expanding its reach to a wider audience.
The Institute continued its commitment to preserving Pentecostal heritage by digitizing additional sermons from Rev. Aimee Semple McPherson, founder of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. These historic sermons ensure that her Spirit-empowered preaching remains accessible to new generations of leaders and scholars.
Dean of the School of Theology & Ministry and Director of MPI, Dr. Jeff Tolle, writes, “MPI advanced on multiple fronts in 2025. We have not only expanded the Ministry Toolkit with new certificates and teaching resources, but we have also deepened our commitment to preserving and advancing Pentecostal preaching for the next generation. By integrating these resources into Life Pacific University’s curriculum and making them accessible to leaders around the world, we are investing in Spirit-empowered proclamation that is both rooted in our heritage and responsive to today’s ministry challenges.”
This advancement included not only content development but also increased institutional integration. In alignment with grant commitments, Life Pacific University students were given free access to the Ministry Toolkit and have already begun utilizing it within LPU’s Preaching Practicum course.
The Ministry Toolkit officially launched during the year and served more than 150 subscribers throughout 2025, but has relaunched the official toolkit platform in 2026. MPI also secured a dedicated studio space and finalized the name and vision for its forthcoming podcast, with recording scheduled to begin in its third year.
The Toolkit features contributions from a wide range of ministry practitioners and scholars, including LPU faculty and national leaders such as Rev. Tim Lee, Rev. Meagan Lord, Rev. Jennifer Lord, Rev. Zach Hafner, Dr. Jim W. Adams, Dr. Wilmer Estrada-Carrasquillo, Dr. Doretha O’Quinn, Dr. Melissa Archer, Rev. Ben Dixon, Dr. Steve Schell, and many others serving across Foursquare districts and partner institutions.
Additionally, through partnership with the Foursquare Scholars Fellowship, the Fellowship’s scholarly journal is now accessible within the Ministry Toolkit, bringing leading Pentecostal scholarship directly to ministry leaders. Access to the MPI Ministry Toolkit can be found at mcphersonpreaching.org.
The MPI Ministry toolkit individual plans start at only $50 a year, with churches being provided the option to purchase toolkit access for their leaders, their staff, or congregants at a discounted rate.
Life Pacific University remains committed to equipping leaders for Spirit-empowered ministry, continuing the legacy of preaching excellence rooted in its Pentecostal heritage.
