Life Pacific University students spent their Spring Break serving the Kingdom of God in El Salvador, alongside LPU alumni Kelly and Jared Mueller who work with Foursquare Missions International and make these mission trips possible for LPU’s teams.

LPU Admissions Counselor and former missionary, Natasha Evanoff, led this Spring Break team and shared, “Being in El Salvador for only five days, I am incredibly proud of what our team accomplished and how the Lord chose to use our time there. I believe our time there truly impacted the people we served but moreso, left a lasting impact on each member of our team. Our motivation every day was “Who is the one?”, and we saw God begin to highlight people around us. Our mission trip was an incredible opportunity to put into practice all that they’ve learned in the classroom in a foreign context”

While in El Salvador, the LPU students hosted a youth camp and community events, led church services, and painted murals in the church classrooms. The Lord moved within the first day our student arrived. They were given the opportunity to minister the Gospel message to over 100 people in attendance. Current Biblical Studies senior, Collin Barry, even got the chance to preach to the local church alongside Destiny Gonzalez who translated the message into Spanish. Students in our Worship Arts and Media program even got to lead worship at the church. Through the verbal communication of preaching, testimony sharing, and corporate prayer, as well as a creative demonstration of a Gospel play, the Lord ministered through these students to the El Salvador community.

This incredible team of students was committed to being the hands and feet of Jesus in El Salvador.

Anthony Brunske, a member of the El Salvador team, says “Getting to be a part of this trip was such an honor, as I got to see the Lord move within our team and grow us in ways we never could have imagined. Being able to serve and do a skit in a different culture was incredible and was so beautiful to witness. Seeing the way our team worked together to lift each other up, push each other, and affirm one another was so special to me and I would not trade it for the world!”

“Getting to be a part of this team during my last few months as a student at LPU was honestly the ministry reset that the Lord knew I needed – to be brought to a place where I was reminded of the reason God first called me to LPU to begin with. I once again fell in love with ministry and the mission field, and I loved to be a part of what the Lord was doing, even for a short week, in the country. El Salvador is truly a special place and I’m happy to experience it with the team I went up with and got to lead worship alongside while there!” shares Brianna De La Huerta, an LPU senior who served on the El Salvador trip.

Life Pacific University’s mission is to transform students to be leaders who are prepared to serve God in the Church, the workplace, and the world. We are so thankful for the heart of our students to engage in the mission field. We are so thankful for the heart of our students to engage in the mission field, in the world, even before they graduate.
