University

On Friday, March 6, 2026, Life Pacific University welcomed 16 Micro Campus leaders representing 24 active Micro Campus locations for a day of training, leadership development, and fellowship on the university’s San Dimas campus.

The gathering brought together pastors and ministry leaders who are partnering with LPU to equip and disciple the next generation of Christian leaders through the university’s growing Micro Campus network.

The day began with a time of worship followed by a powerful message titled “Lamb Among Wolves” delivered by Neco Alexandre, NextGen Coordinator for the Foursquare Church Atlantic District.

The message set the tone for the day, reminding leaders that effective ministry leadership begins with personal devotion and time in the presence of God.

“Our morning started in the presence of the Lord as a reminder that before we lead others, we must first lead ourselves in pursuing the Lord,” said Sara Huson, Vice President of Enrollment Management and Marketing at Life Pacific University. “These leaders are already discipling the next generation in their churches, and it is an honor to partner with them to provide accredited education that strengthens that work.”

What Is a Life Pacific University Micro Campus?

Life Pacific University’s Micro Campus model allows churches that are already focused on discipleship and raising young leaders to partner with the university to offer accredited Christian higher education directly within their church community.

Students enrolled through a Micro Campus complete their academic coursework online through LPU while remaining actively involved in their local church. This unique model allows students to grow academically, spiritually, and practically at the same time.

One of the distinctive elements of the program is that students can receive academic credit for the hands-on ministry experience they are already gaining through serving in their local church.

This approach allows students to develop both theological knowledge and real-world ministry experience while pursuing their degree.

In addition, the Micro Campus model provides a more affordable pathway to higher education. Because students remain in their local church context and complete coursework online, they are able to earn an accredited degree at a fraction of the cost of traditional residential programs.

Degrees Available Through Micro Campuses

Students studying through Life Pacific University Micro Campus locations can pursue several undergraduate degree programs designed to prepare them for ministry, leadership, and service in a variety of contexts.

Available degrees include:

  • Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies
  • Associate of Arts in General Studies
  • Bachelor of Arts in Ministry and Leadership
  • Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Management
  • Bachelor of Arts in Psychology
  • Bachelor of Arts in Worship Arts and Media

Each program combines academic training, spiritual formation, and practical ministry experience, equipping students to serve effectively in churches, nonprofit organizations, and communities around the world.

A Growing Movement of Church Partnerships

With 24 active Micro Campus locations, Life Pacific University continues to expand this innovative model by partnering with churches that share a vision for discipling the next generation.

The March training day provided leaders with tools and strategies to strengthen their Micro Campus programs, mentor students effectively, and build environments where young leaders can thrive academically and spiritually.

Throughout the day, leaders shared stories of how students are already being impacted through this model,  growing in their calling, developing leadership skills, and serving their churches while pursuing their education.

As the network of Micro Campuses continues to grow, Life Pacific University remains committed to partnering with churches that are passionate about developing future leaders for the Kingdom of God.
