Marcus Robinson, DMin

Chief Diversity Officer & Chair of Biblical Theology and Ministry

Dr. Marcus Robinson is an educator, pastor, ministry leader, and creative whose work centers on Spirit-empowered ministry, Christian spiritual formation, discipleship, reconciliation, and holistic human flourishing. With extensive experience serving Chinese, Taiwanese, Korean, and multiethnic congregations, his leadership reflects a deep commitment to helping students and communities engage faith, culture, creativity, and identity with wisdom, authenticity, and biblical conviction.

Dr. Robinson is passionate about forming leaders who are deeply grounded in Scripture, led by the Holy Spirit, emotionally healthy, culturally discerning, and equipped to serve both the Church and the broader world with humility, compassion, and courage. His work integrates theology, creativity, leadership development, and pastoral formation, with a particular emphasis on the role of the arts and creativity as expressions of God’s common grace that can foster healing, beauty, truth, and meaningful human connection.

He is also the founder of Dream and Imagine, a ministry initiative focused on developing Christian creatives who use their gifts and talents for God’s glory and the flourishing of others. In addition, Dr. Robinson is a certified LEGO Serious Play facilitator and incorporates innovative, interactive approaches to leadership development, spiritual formation, and collaborative learning.

Most importantly, Dr. Robinson seeks to model a vibrant and authentic Christian faith consistent with the University’s mission and values. He is a licensed Foursquare minister and continues to serve the broader Church through teaching, discipleship, mentorship, and pastoral leadership.

Dr. Robinson holds a Doctor of Ministry from Biola University’s Talbot School of Theology, where his work focused on discipleship in the 21st century, spiritual formation, and biblical shalom as a framework for reconciliation and human flourishing. He also holds a Master of Science in Organizational Psychology from Azusa Pacific University, with an emphasis in organizational development and executive coaching.
