Ilene spent 15 years working in various marketing positions in entertainment, government, and small business development while teaching marketing as an adjunct at several universities in Southern California.
In 1992, she left industry to join Azusa Pacific University as a full-time professor of marketing and international business. Five years later she was appointed Dean and spent the next 17 years building the School of Business and Management. After 20 years of service, she went back into industry as a consultant to various non-profits and eventually joined the Congressional Medal of Honor Foundation as Vice President of Corporate Engagement. Today she is semi-retired and works with cadets at The Citadel and mentors junior and senior executives. Her connection with Life Pacific University began in the 1930’s when her grandparents and great aunts and uncles attended the Bible School. They all pastored Foursquare Churches over a 60-year span. She was once again connected to Life while working at APU. She supports Life Pacific University because of their legacy work and their future actions to support the mission from generations of alumni and donors. There is still so much to learn and experience as God leads us into the future.
