MPI Preaching Conference

Life Pacific University is hosting the inaugural MPI Preaching Conference out of the newly launched McPherson Preaching Institute on October 26th from 9 am – 3 pm. The MPI Preaching Conference is completely FREE and will feature keynote speaker, Foursquare President Randy Remington and breakout sessions surrounding this year’s topic, Preaching Toward Unity: How to Be Unifying From the Pulpit.

Pastor Randy will be speaking in 2 keynote sessions

Session #1: How to Preach for Unity

  • This session focuses on how preaching can foster unity within the church, especially in today’s diverse and often divided cultural landscape.

Session #2: A Theology of Expectation

  • This session highlights understanding the importance of preaching that is both theologically sound and open to the fresh movements of the Holy Spirit, encouraging a dynamic and expectant faith within congregations

The MPI Preaching Conference is designed to equip and inspire current and future preachers with practical and theological insights to enhance their ministry, so join us for this landmark moment for LPU and the future of Pentecostal Preaching.

The MPI Conference will also feature workshops with preaching legends of the Foursquare denomination, including Pastor Jerry Dirmann, Pastor Mario Barahona, and Dr. Doretha O’Quinn.

Workshop #1: Preaching in the Midst of Division with Pastor Jerry Dirmann

  • This workshop will provide a framework for selecting topics, studying them biblically, researching various worldviews, and presenting biblical truths in a way that honors both Scripture and the individuals who hear the sermons, regardless of their stance on the issues.

Workshop #2: Preaching 101: Foundational Structure for Developing a Spirit-led Sermon with Dr. Doretha O’Quinn

  • This workshop will focus on the basics of sermon preparation, ensuring that sermons are both Spirit-led and biblically sound.

Workshop #3: The Voice of God in Sermon Development with Pastor Mario Barahona

  • This workshop will cover how to practically engage with the voice of God during sermon preparation and development, ensuring that preaching is an active conversation with God and driven by His desire for each pastor’s congregation.

We cannot wait for you to join us for this inaugural conference and to usher in this new season of LPU as we launch the McPherson Preaching Institute.
