Jesus said, the gates of hell will not prevail. But sometimes, surveying the stories going on in this world, it seems like the kingdom of this world is not yet the kingdom of our lord. One might wonder if the gates of hell are prevailing. In this session with Foursquare Scholars Fellowship, two guests come to share experience and wisdom in the midst of challenging circumstances. Dr. James Jacob oversees churches in Nigeria recently ravaged from Islamic terror. Pastor Harim Peiris in Sri Lanka plants churches and trains ministers  in a context of a Christianity as a religious minority. Religious conflict and economic collapse marks some of the issues confronting the church in Sri Lanka. Let us come together to learn from those in our Foursquare community around the world and be challenged to live the gospel in the face of trouble and violence. Maybe violence against Christianity in the US looks quite different, but we can all learn to take serious a faith that speaks to the good of all in our community, even if the majority of our context are not fond of Christians.
