LPU Admissions International Process

Needed for Acceptance:

  1. Slate Application
  1. Application Documents
  1. Foreign Transcript Evaluation (case by case basis for waiving this) we recommend WES for ordering evaluations.

Needed after Acceptance:

Once all required documents are completed and bank statements meet the minimum requirement, Operations will select I-20 Needed ‘Yes’. A notification will be sent to the Registrar’s Office through Slate that the applicant needs an I-20 issued. Registrars Office will also check the I-20 query weekly. The Registrars Office will communicate with the applicant regarding I-20 next steps.

Once the Registrar’s office has emailed the I-20 to the student, along with important information how to pay the $350 SEVIS fee (grad students have to pay this twice), as well as schedule their appointment with the embassy and prepare for their VISA Interview, the Reg office will select I-20 Issues ‘Yes’.  The student will be emailed via slate if possible, and if not, a note on the timeline will indicate the I-20 has been emailed.

Please Note:

An Applicant can continue to move through the application process (deposit, housing forms, etc.) this does not mean that the student will actually be able to come to the U.S. Enrollment will be dependent on I-20 and issuing of the Applicants needed Visa.

Graduate Program:

  • MAC program is still not approved
  • Virtual Orientation is not something we offer or communicate with students. In rare occasions an appeal process may be requested. However, this is will not be advertised or encouraged.
  • 1 week I-20, student will have to be issued a 2nd I-20 for year 2, and will have to pay SEVIS I-  901 fee.
