Life Pacific University student Collin Barry, a current senior in the Biblical Studies program, had the opportunity to serve with Army of Love. Army of Love is an organization that equips and trains believers who feel called to minister to people from all walks of life who are in need of support, prayer, encouragement, healing, direction, and freedom. Army of Love’s vision is to unite and equip the body of Christ to minister and bring healing to broken-hearted and hurting people through Christ’s love and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Their mission is to bring together followers of Christ for training and empowerment to help them fulfill their purpose by utilizing their gifts to serve others.

Alongside Justin, the Army of Love Outreach Coordinator, Collin worked with their Homeless Ministry to provide food, clothes, and the Word of God to those in need in the San Dimas area. Collin’s heart for being the hands and feet of Jesus to those who are in need was integrated perfectly into this ministry opportunity with Army of Love.

Daniel Whipple, Executive Director of Army of Love, says “My team shared with excitement how Collin jumped right in. He represented LPU exceptionally. I am excited to see how God will continue to use him as he leans into outreach and his calling”.

All students at Life Pacific University fulfill outreach hours every semester. It is part of the DNA of LPU to serve the Kingdom of God the way that Jesus modeled. It is an honor to hear how current LPU students, like Collin, are taking the calling to be servant-hearted taught within the classrooms and enacting them in the way they live their lives.
