Life Pacific University faculty members had the honor of contributing to the special edition of the Journal of World Alliance for Pentecostal Theological Education (WAPTE), celebrating a century of the Foursquare Gospel.
Foursquare pastor and friend of LPU, Gary Matsdorf served as a guest editor for this Pentecostal Education journal. He partnered with LPU as Foursquare’s university to contribute to this theological reflection on 100 years of the Foursquare movement.
Our very own Provost, Dr. Daniel Ruarte, and our Director of Hispanic Programs and Initiatives, Dr. Hugo Aldana, wrote an article entitled Foursquare Hispanics: Distinctives of a Growing Community within Foursquare.Â
Beloved professor, Rev. Jennifer Thigpenn, published an article titled Foursquare and Reconciliation.Â
Life Pacific University Virginia professors Ryan Lytton, M.A. and Gretchen Abney, M.A. contributed with powerful book reviews.
LPU continues to engage in Pentecostal theological education both nationally and globally. The university is honored to have world-class faculty that use their intellect and callings to further the Kingdom of God through education.

Every spring, something remarkable happens on the Life Pacific University campus. Students who spent an entire semester wrestling with cameras, scripts, lighting rigs, and each other's creative visions walk a red carpet, take their seats in a packed chapel, and watch their work come to life on screen in front of hundreds of people who are genuinely moved by what they made. This is Transformations, and if you want to understand what LPU's Media and Communications program is really about, this is the place to start.

When most people picture a mission trip, they imagine a passport, a long flight, and a culture half a world away. This spring, a team of Life Pacific University students discovered that some of the most meaningful mission fields are much closer than expected.

When a team of LPU students landed in Puerto Rico this spring, they had a plan: serve, connect, and contribute to the work already happening on the island through Dream Center Esperanza, a Foursquare ministry based there. What they didn't plan for, and what seems to have mattered most, was what the week did to them.
