Tehillah

University, California

The first Tehillah of the 2025-26 school year set the tone for a powerful semester at Life Pacific University San Dimas Campus. Tehillah (תְּהִלָּה) is a Hebrew word meaning a song of praise, hymn, or laudation. Over 100 students gathered for this student-led worship and testimony night, held monthly at the beginning of each month. From start to finish, the evening was led entirely by students, with peers guiding worship, teaching, communion, and prayer.

ASG President Salma Kettner shared a message on “Ten lessons learned during my first year in leadership, encouraging students to pursue the things of God in spite of fear and discomfort. She reflected, “the first Tehillah of the year was nothing short of powerful. We witnessed students rededicating their semester to the Lord, chains of fear and anxiety being broken, and a hunger for God that spread through the entire room.”

Highlights of the Night

  • Over 100 students in attendance.
  • Communion shared together in unity.
  • Students prayed over one another, including those who don’t normally cross paths in community.
  • Students spontaneously led worship without the worship team, demonstrating a deep hunger for God’s presence.

How God Moved

Students returned to the Lord, laying down fear and anxiety and stepping into freedom. The unity of the body of Christ was on full display as peers prayed for one another with authenticity and boldness. The ASG team believes this night marked a shift, with students seeking Jesus for themselves—not just for worship or a message, but for true encounter.

Tehillah was more than an event; it was a picture of revival on campus, students hungry for the Lord, bold in faith, and united in spirit.

Join us at the next Tehillah and be part of what God is doing on campus—an atmosphere of worship, testimony, and breakthrough you won’t want to miss.
