Life Pacific University welcomed a record-breaking 219 guests to campus for its Spring Preview event, an exciting day designed to introduce prospective students to the LPU experience.
Attendees had the opportunity to engage with faculty, experience dynamic classroom sessions, and connect with current students, all while discovering how LPU equips them for their future callings.
“Spring Preview was a remarkable time of connecting with future students as well as their parents,” said Dr. Jeffrey Tolle, Dean of the School of Theology and Ministry. “The enthusiasm I saw in young people to become part of the LPU community was palpable.”
Interactive Academic Sessions and Inspiring Faculty
Prospective students participated in interactive class experiences across various disciplines, gaining firsthand insight into LPU’s Christ-centered, Spirit filled academic environment. Course topics included:
• Why We Study the Bible – Dr. Jim Adams, BA in Biblical Studies
• Overview of Strategic Planning – Prof. Jeff Bird, BA in Business Administration
• Mental Health: The New Mission Field – Prof. Dawn Houk & Prof. Whitney Christman, BA in Human Development & Psychology
• Reel Storytelling; Real Impact – Prof. Andrew Hawksworth, BA in Media & Communications
• The Call to Ministry – Dr. Tim Lee, BA in Ministry
• What is Worship? – Dr. Steven Felix-Jager, BA in Worship Arts & Media
The day also featured opportunities for students to explore LPU’s thriving theater and performing arts community.
Carissa Hawksworth, Dean of Arts and Sciences, reflected, “I was able to engage with several students who were currently enrolled in performing arts programs and shared with them the heart of our LPU Theater program. It was so exciting to share our love of using story to educate, inform, and inspire! We are excited to welcome several of these students to our campus in the fall!”
A Vibrant and Growing Community
From chapel worship to classroom discussions, Spring Preview highlighted the dynamic and close-knit community at LPU. Faculty, staff, and current students shared their experiences and helped prospective students envision their future at the university.
With record attendance and an overwhelmingly positive response, Life Pacific University continues to grow as a leader in biblical higher education, preparing students to lead and serve in their God-given callings.
