After years of faithful investment, prayerful consideration, and careful review of enrollment, financial, and operational realities, and changes in higher education, the Life Pacific University Board of Trustees has made the difficult decision to conclude brick-and-mortar operations at the VA/East Branch Campus and transition to new models.Â
This decision comes with a heavy heart and deep gratitude for the students, faculty, staff, alumni, churches, pastors, families, and partners who have contributed to the Campus story over the last seven years, building upon the history of Mt. Vernon Bible College and Life East. Their commitment has made a lasting impact, and LPU honors the lives and leaders shaped through this work.Â
LPU education in the east is not over. As higher education continues to change, LPU is adapting its models to serve students and churches in sustainable and mission-aligned ways. The university remains committed to leadership development in the East through online undergraduate programs, graduate education, certificate pathways, micro-sites, and church-based partnerships.Â
LPU’s immediate priority is to care well for affected students, employees, and families through clear communication, academic advising, and transition support.Â
A teach out plan has been made available for each student and the registrar’s office will work a personalized plan for students.Â
Life Pacific University remains committed to its mission of the transformational development of students into leaders prepared to serve God in the church, the workplace, and the world.Â
We are deeply thankful for every staff and faculty member, leader, pastor, the Foursquare Church, donors, students, families, and graduates who have carried this vibrant mission with faithfulness. The mission continues, East, West, online, and around the world, for generations to come.Â
