Life Pacific University has received approval from the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) Commission on Accreditation to initiate its Master of Arts in Education. With Fall 2027 applications now open, prospective students can apply to join the program’s inaugural cohort.
ABHE’s action, effective September 16, 2026, follows the September 14 approval from the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) for distance education delivery. Together, these approvals mark a significant step toward welcoming the program’s first students. ABHE requires no further reporting on this matter at this time.

Education for Those Called to Teach and Lead
LPU’s 100% online M.A. in Education is designed for working professionals who want to strengthen their teaching and leadership while continuing to serve in their current roles. The program brings together practical study in educational psychology, instructional design, assessment, instructional leadership, organizational change, technology, and research. Students will also explore how a Christ-centered approach can shape teaching, ethical decisions, and engagement with their communities.
The degree is intended for people serving in K–12 and higher education, churches and ministries, nonprofits, training and development, and other settings where they help others learn and grow. Through its coursework and capstone project, the program asks students to connect educational research with challenges they encounter in practice.
“Today’s learners need leaders who can think critically, teach effectively, and lead change wisely,” said Dr. Daniel Ruarte, provost and vice president of academic affairs, when the program was first announced. “This program equips students with the tools to bring practical solutions and meaningful transformation to their communities.”

Applications are now open for the first M.A. in Education cohort, launching in Fall 2027. Prospective students can explore the program and its courses and start an application. Those who want to speak with an admissions counselor first can request information and select Master of Arts in Education (2027) as their program of interest.
