Life Pacific University is entering the 2026–27 academic year with a transformed campus and an ambitious vision for what comes next, investing in spaces that strengthen student life, enhance safety, expand academic opportunities, and visibly reflect the university’s Christ-centered, Spirit-filled mission.

The transformation is immediately noticeable. New university signage welcomes students and guests, while four freeway signs, a long-held dream, significantly increase LPU’s visibility throughout the region. A newly illuminated sign on the front of the university building ensures the LPU name can be seen day and night, an intentional expression of the university’s symbolic history as a “lighthouse” to the city and the world. Across campus, new banners, landscaping, lighting, and canopies have created more inviting spaces for students to gather, study, connect, and build community. A new campus mural, Scriptures, and declarations displayed throughout LPU reinforce the university’s identity, values, and spiritual mission, creating visual reminders of who the LPU community is and who students are becoming.

Additional improvements include an updated sound system and a new gym floor, enhancing athletics, chapel, events, and the overall student experience.

Safety has also been a significant priority. LPU’s new security gates and integrated security system are fully operational, providing an additional layer of security and greater confidence for students and families. Campus safety has been an ongoing university priority, including increased surveillance, lighting, emergency preparedness, campus signage, and planning for security gates and sensor technology. “This transformation is about much more than facilities,” said Dr. George Bostanic, Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Student Life. “We want every student who steps onto this campus to experience a place that is welcoming, safe, vibrant, and designed for connection. These improvements reflect the extraordinary collaboration of our university team and our commitment to serving students well.”

Preparing the Campus for LPU’s Academic Future

Campus transformation is also supporting LPU’s continued academic growth. The university is preparing a new science laboratory to support the planned Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, LPU’s first STEM degree, which is scheduled to launch in Fall 2027 pending WASC and ABHE approval. The program will expand LPU’s capacity to prepare students for careers and graduate education in healthcare, wellness, community health, and related fields. A new gold medallion installed on campus provides another visible reminder of LPU’s enduring mission and global calling, preparing students to be sent into all the world to serve Christ and others. Another major part of the campus transformation is the Dana Holland Liberatore Welcome Center, which was launched in February and will be completed late fall. Named in honor of beloved LPU alumna and former professor Dana Holland Liberatore, the center is being developed as a new point of welcome for prospective students, families, alumni, and campus guests. Renewing the Residence Halls: Investing in Home

Looking ahead, one of LPU’s most important campus priorities is the renewal of its residence halls. After 37 years at the San Dimas campus, these facilities require significant and necessary updates to ensure that the place students call home reflects the same care, excellence, and sense of belonging being cultivated throughout the university.

LPU is moving forward with a capital campaign to renew its residence halls, inviting alumni, friends, churches, and partners to invest directly in the student experience. The vision is simple but significant: home matters. Residence halls are more than buildings. They are where friendships form, community deepens, discipleship happens, and students experience some of the most formative moments of university life.

“Something significant is happening at Life Pacific University,” said Dr. Angie Richey, President of LPU. “After 37 years in San Dimas, we are honoring what previous generations built while courageously preparing for those who are coming next. From our residence halls and science lab to our gathering spaces, security, signage, and Welcome Center, every investment has students at the center.”

Richey continued, “Even the illuminated LPU sign speaks to who we are. We want this university to be visible, not simply as a place, but as a lighthouse. Students are being formed here and then sent into the world to carry the light of Christ wherever God calls them.”

The transformation represents a collaborative effort across university departments and teams and reflects a larger vision for Life Pacific University: renewing the campus, expanding academic opportunity, strengthening community, and stewarding LPU for generations to come.
