The countdown is on.
Life Pacific University will welcome its newest Warriors to the San Dimas campus for Fall 2026 New Student Orientation, August 28–30, marking the beginning of a new academic year and the first official weekend as members of the LPU community.
NSO is designed to make the transition to college a little easier, and a lot more memorable. Incoming students will meet classmates and professors, learn where to find support, experience some of LPU’s favorite traditions and begin discovering what it means to call LPU home.

Here are a few things students and families can look forward to throughout the weekend.
It Starts With Check-In, Move-In and New Connections
NSO begins Friday morning with Check-In and LPU Connect from 9 to 11 a.m.
Resident students will begin moving into the residence halls while students and families make their way through stations in the courtyard. LPU Connect will also introduce new Warriors to campus clubs, local organizations and ways to get involved throughout the year.
Campus tours will be available during the morning for students who want another look around before the day gets underway.
Commuter students will have their own Warrior Connection at 11 a.m., creating an opportunity to meet other commuters and learn about resources that can help them stay connected to campus life.
Students moving into the residence halls can also review LPU’s What to Pack list before arriving.
Meet the People Who Will Be Part of Your LPU Journey
College is about much more than finding your classrooms.
Friday gives incoming students an opportunity to begin meeting the faculty, staff and classmates who will be part of their experience at LPU.
During the President’s Luncheon & Welcome, students and families will officially kick off the year together with LPU leadership, faculty and staff.
Students will then Meet Your Faculty, connecting with their program chair and other students in their major while getting an early look at what their academic journey will be like.
Parents are invited to join that session before participating in a dedicated Parent Session, where they’ll learn practical ways to support their student throughout the college years and stay connected as partners in their success.
Students will also take part in a Student Resources Tour designed to introduce the offices, services and people available to help them navigate their first semester.

Begin the Journey With Prayer
One of the most meaningful traditions of New Student Orientation happens Friday evening during the Dedication Service.
Students, families, faculty and staff will gather in the chapel for worship and prayer as the LPU community dedicates the incoming class and their college journey to the Lord.
For many families, the moment represents much more than the beginning of a semester. It marks a new season in a student’s life, surrounded by a community committed to supporting their academic, personal and spiritual growth.
The Dedication Service begins at 6:30 p.m. Friday in the Chapel.
And Then… Hide
After the Dedication Service, one of LPU’s most talked-about NSO traditions returns.
Hide ‘N’ Seek takes over campus Friday night as new students attempt to outlast LPU faculty and staff in a campus-wide game with scholarship money on the line.
Students can hide throughout campus while university leaders search for them. The final five students found each receive a $1,000 scholarship, putting a total of $5,000 in scholarships up for grabs.
It’s competitive. It’s unpredictable. And for many students, it becomes one of their first unforgettable LPU memories.

Start College by Serving Others
Saturday morning turns the focus outward with City Serve, a tradition that has become an important part of New Student Orientation at LPU.
After breakfast and First-Year Seminar, students will head into the San Dimas community for hands-on service projects.
Previous incoming classes have served schools, churches, foster care organizations, senior communities and local nonprofits throughout the surrounding area.
City Serve gives new students an opportunity to build relationships with classmates while immediately experiencing one of LPU’s central commitments: preparing leaders who serve God in the Church, the workplace and the world.
Experience Your First Warriors Game
Saturday afternoon brings a different kind of LPU tradition.
New students will join student leaders for a tailgate and Warriors soccer game, with food, activities and the chance to experience LPU school spirit firsthand.
The tailgate begins at 4:30 p.m. at APU Field in Azusa, followed by the game.
Afterward, students will return to campus for Welcome Home, an evening of beach volleyball, s’mores and time together in the LPU courtyard.
It’s a chance to relax after a full day and continue getting to know the people who will soon become classmates, teammates, roommates and friends.
Find Community Beyond Campus
Orientation continues Sunday morning as new students have the opportunity to attend a local church alongside LPU student leaders.
Church With Student Staff gives students a chance to experience some of the churches in the surrounding community and begin thinking about where they may want to connect during their time at LPU.
The weekend concludes with lunch and time to settle in before Fall 2026 classes begin Monday, August 31.
A Weekend of Firsts
Your first night in the residence halls.
Your first meal with new classmates.
Your first professor.
Your first LPU chapel.
Your first Warriors game.
Your first chance to serve the community as an LPU student.
New Student Orientation is filled with firsts, but students don’t have to navigate them alone. From the moment they arrive, LPU faculty, staff and student leaders will be there to help them find their place, make connections and begin the year with confidence.
To incoming students: come ready to meet people, ask questions, try something new and take in the weekend.
