Life Pacific University faculty members had the honor of contributing to the special edition of the Journal of World Alliance for Pentecostal Theological Education (WAPTE), celebrating a century of the Foursquare Gospel.
Foursquare pastor and friend of LPU, Gary Matsdorf served as a guest editor for this Pentecostal Education journal. He partnered with LPU as Foursquare’s university to contribute to this theological reflection on 100 years of the Foursquare movement.
Our very own Provost, Dr. Daniel Ruarte, and our Director of Hispanic Programs and Initiatives, Dr. Hugo Aldana, wrote an article entitled Foursquare Hispanics: Distinctives of a Growing Community within Foursquare.Â
Beloved professor, Rev. Jennifer Thigpenn, published an article titled Foursquare and Reconciliation.Â
Life Pacific University Virginia professors Ryan Lytton, M.A. and Gretchen Abney, M.A. contributed with powerful book reviews.
LPU continues to engage in Pentecostal theological education both nationally and globally. The university is honored to have world-class faculty that use their intellect and callings to further the Kingdom of God through education.

In a time when the Church is called to respond with courage and vision, Life Pacific University is launching SEND 1, GIVE 1—a bold movement uniting churches to raise up Spirit-empowered leaders. By sending one student to be trained for ministry and giving one percent of their budget toward scholarships and leadership development, churches can multiply their Kingdom impact for generations to come.
