Over the summer, Life Pacific University students spread nationwide to serve in internships with churches, businesses, counseling centers, and more. Our students from every major step into the Church, the workplace, and the world to serve like Jesus models.

Kelsey Lord, a junior majoring in Human Development and Psychology, and Dylan Reynoso, a junior majoring in Business Administration, are currently serving at Idyllwild Pines Christian Camp in the San Jacinto Mountains in California. They are serving in a variety of capacities from ministering to the kids during chapel sessions to practically working in landscaping or in the kitchens.

Together, Kelsey and Dylan are serving alongside LPU alumna Britain Mietzel (’23) as she leads as the female Resident Assistant at Idyllwild. This is her second year serving at the camp. her first in leadership. She completed her internship at Idyllwild last summer and was recruited to work on the leadership team this summer.

Kelsey says, “My time here at Idyllwild Pines Camp is something that I never would have expected to be one of the biggest blessings in my life. The staff, friendships, and new skills learned have the love of Jesus all over them”.

Getting the opportunity to connect with godly young adults and spend time serving churches and the camp itself, Kelsey and Dylan have grown in their faith and in their experience in personal and practical ministry. We are so thankful for relationships with camps like Idyllwild Pines who welcome our students and empower them to serve through their internships.

We are proud of our students and alumni who are committed to serving God in the Church, the workplace, and the world.
