American Leftovers Book Signing with LPU Alumni

Life Pacific University welcomed LPU alumni Heidi Messner (’99) and Eric Wilson (’91), authors of the New York Times Best Seller, American Leftovers, on campus to share with LPU Media and Communications students. Heidi and Eric shared about how to use your personal story to tell a powerful story to the masses through writing. Their experience with authoring American Leftovers revealed to them the biblical influence of storytelling and how to leverage that for the expansion of the Kingdom of God. They shared with the LPU community the process of writing, how to secure a book deal, working on movie scripts, and answering any questions regarding American Leftovers or their time in the writing and publishing space.

Heidi and Eric also held a book signing where our students could buy a copy of American Leftovers and have it signed. It was an encouraging conversation to hear from LPU alumni as they become successful in their respective fields.

Levi Brill ’23 – On Mission With Jesus in Cambodia

A 27-year-old native of Wisconsin, Levi has served for seven years with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) in Cambodia, where he now co-directs the Poipet Campus alongside a Khmer staff member.
