Life Pacific University is preparing to welcome its newest Warriors to campus for Fall 2026 New Student Orientation and Welcome Week.

New Student Orientation will take place Friday, August 28 through Sunday, August 30, giving incoming students and their families an opportunity to experience the faith, community and traditions that shape life at LPU. Welcome Week will continue through Friday, September 4 as new and returning students come together to begin the academic year.

“We are excited to welcome our largest incoming class since 2019. These students bring tremendous gifting, talent, and potential, and we believe each one is called and created for a purpose,” said Dr. Angie Richey, President of Life Pacific University.

Beginning the LPU Journey Together

New Student Orientation is designed to help students move beyond the uncertainty of starting college and begin finding their place within the LPU community.

Through LPU Connect, meetings with faculty and introductions to student resources, incoming Warriors will begin building relationships with the people who will support their academic, personal and spiritual growth. Commuter students will also have dedicated opportunities to meet one another and learn how they can become fully connected to campus life.

“One of the things I love most about New Student Orientation is seeing students begin to find their place at LPU,” said Dr. George Bostanic, Chief Operations Officer & VP of Student Life. “Our prayer is that every student feels known, supported and welcomed into the Warrior family as they begin this new chapter. We are excited to walk alongside them as they grow academically, personally and spiritually and develop into the leaders God has called them to be.”

One of the most meaningful moments of the weekend will be the Dedication Service. Students, families and members of the LPU community will gather to worship, pray and dedicate each student’s college journey to the Lord. Past orientation stories have described the service as a time for families to pray, celebrate what God is doing in their student’s life and welcome them into the Warrior family.

A Scholarship Is Hiding on Campus

New students will also be introduced to one of LPU’s most memorable orientation traditions: Hide ’N’ Seek.

The campus-wide competition brings students and university leaders together for a high-energy game with a major scholarship opportunity on the line. Beyond the competition, the event gives new students an unexpected way to explore campus, meet one another and begin creating memories together.

All students will be given the chance to hide anywhere on campus with staff and faculty on the hunt, ready to find them and call them out. The final five students found each receive a $1,000 scholarship. Check out last year’s recap:

Starting the Year Through Service

City Serve has become a defining part of New Student Orientation, giving incoming students an opportunity to put LPU’s commitment to servant leadership into action before the first full week of classes begins.

Each incoming class is invited to step outside the campus and serve organizations throughout San Dimas and surrounding communities. Past City Serve projects have supported schools, churches, foster care organizations, senior communities and local nonprofits, including McKinley Children’s Center, Sonrise Christian School, Charter Oak Mobile Home Estates, Shepherd’s Pantry and Chloie’s Cottage Senior Living Facility.

City Serve is also an opportunity for relationships to form naturally. Students work alongside classmates, faculty and staff while learning that service is not simply something discussed in the classroom at LPU. It is an essential part of what it means to lead like Jesus.

Finding Community and Calling LPU Home

Orientation weekend also creates space for students to experience the friendships, worship and school spirit that make campus feel like home.

A Warriors soccer game, beach volleyball, s’mores, shared meals and visits to local churches will give new students opportunities to connect beyond the classroom. These experiences are designed to help students become comfortable on campus while beginning relationships that can continue throughout their time at LPU.

That sense of connection then carries into Welcome Week through campus traditions including Convocation Chapel, Club Rush, a faculty and staff barbecue, Tehillah and Fall One Day.

Tehillah is a student-led gathering centered on worship, testimony, teaching, communion and prayer. The name comes from a Hebrew word meaning a song of praise, hymn or laudation. More than 100 students attended the first Tehillah gathering of the 2025–26 academic year, setting the tone for the semester through worship and time in God’s presence.

Together, New Student Orientation and Welcome Week offer students an early picture of what it means to be a Warrior: pursuing academic growth, deepening their faith, serving others and becoming part of a community that will walk alongside them.

Incoming Students: Register for Orientation

All incoming students should register for New Student Orientation before arriving on campus.

The New Student Orientation webpage includes the registration link, orientation schedule and packing information for students preparing to move into the residence halls. Students can also access housing and parking forms, commuter meal plan information, a campus map and contact information for Residence Life and Admissions.
