Established in 1996 in a village just outside of Kyiv, Father’s House Children’s Home has cared for over 3000 children. Having visited the Home in 2004, Benji’s life was forever changed and upon returning to the states, he decided to follow the call of Jesus into ministry and attend LPU.
Now, as pastor of Light Church in Encinitas, CA, Benji remains closely connected to the Father’s House. In response to the urgent situation of the war in Ukraine, Light Church and Faith Community (San Diego), released emergency funds to hire buses so that the children and workers could be safely evacuated from Kyiv to Germany. Praise God for His faithful and miraculous protection during the long and dangerous journey!
Earlier this month Benji was able to visit the children at their new home in Freiburg, Germany. Light Church is currently raising funds so the children can continue to live in a safe environment together with the workers and also receive therapy for the trauma they’ve endured.
