Life Pacific University hosted its first-ever Alumni + Family Event for Alumni and their families to come and join current students and staff and faculty on campus for community, connection, and more – what a successful night together!

Earlier in the day, a Scholarship Reception was hosted which gave donors who have given to scholarships the opportunity to meet the students they have supported financially. This was an exciting moment for students to be able to share their gratitude to donors that have made a difference in their lives. We are so thankful for the faithful giving of our donors that make Christian Higher Education possible for our LPU students.

The Alumni + Family Night kicked off with discounted tickets to the Men’s Basketball season opener against Bethesda University.  A highlight of the game was when Ron Hamrick (’69) met Warrior Guard Adam Vasquez (’22). Both Life Pacific basketball players sporting jersey number 24 – more than 50 years apart.

Pam Keselburg (‘67), says “Thank you for a very special time at LPU! We were treated like royalty and it was awesome to meet and talk with students. And LPU won the game!  What a day”.

After the season opener, the alumni and their families took part in the biggest event of the year, LPU’s annual Fall Fest. We were proud to partner with Wayne Harold’s Extraordinary BBQ, a successful parent-owned local business, for the Family BBQ dinner that was served during the event. Alumni, parents, and families enjoyed the 10th annual Fall Fest with Ferris wheel rides, face painting, costumes, a petting zoo, free ice cream treats, live music, carnival games, and more. A special thanks to our ASG leaders and Student Life for hosting an amazing Fall Fest.

Lynnette Lozoya, Executive Director of Development, said, “We love having our alumni, parents, families, students, faculty, and staff together on campus! This was such a fun time to get to know each other, listen to our stories, and make new friends. There are more opportunities throughout our Centennial year in 2023 to get together and everyone is invited to join us. We really are an LPU family!”
