On January 18, President Angie Richey, Ph.D. co-hosted a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Mayor Emmett Badar of San Dimas and members of the City Council and Chamber to officially launch the 100th year of Life Pacific University.

Proclamations and certificates of recognition for our Centennial were presented from the U.S. House of Representatives and Congresswoman Grace Napolitano, the California State Senate and Senator Anthony Portantino, the California State Assembly and Assemblymember Chris Holden, the County of Los Angeles and Supervisor Kathryn Barger, the City of San Dimas, the San Dimas Chamber of Commerce, and the San Dimas Historical Society.

President Richey responded, “As the 11th President of this institution, please accept my sincere thanks and deepest gratitude for your leadership, sacrifice, and vision for our neighbors, our city, our region, and beyond.  You and I are divinely placed in our role at this time together.  And I am proud and humbled to stand with you.”

More than 200 guests including LPU members of the Board of Trustees, alumni, donors, pastors, faculty, staff, and students joined our honored dignitaries with expressions of gratitude, love, and hope for the University. The Ribbon Cutting celebrates the university’s rich heritage, today’s LPU community and leadership, and the promises for the future as we remain dedicated to the transformational development of students into leaders prepared to serve God in the Church, the workplace, and the world.
