Life Pacific University’s Chair of Worship Arts and Media, Dr. Steven Felix-Jager, attended and presented at this year’s Society for Pentecostal Studies Conference. This year’s SPS Conference was hosted at Candler School of Theology in Atlanta, Georgia. Approximately 300 program sessions convened over this three day gathering where Pentecostal scholars gather to convene, learn, and network.

Dr. Steven Felix-Jager hosted two sessions with a presentation on his paper titled Freedom From the Free Market: Moral Conflict by Consumer Choice and a book review session on Chris Green’s book The Spirit and the Screen: Pneumatological Reflections on Contemporary Cinema. In addition, two of his books were being sold on-site including Renewing Christian Worldview: A Holistic Approach for Spirit-Filled Christians and Renewal Worship: A Theology of Pentecostal Doxology.

He shares that “The Society for Pentecostal Studies Conference is by far my favorite academic conference. Everyone is always so generous and loving – a true kingdom-oriented demonstration of what scholarship can and should be. I had a great time and it was a life-giving experience being able to present my academic content and learn from other fantastic Pentecostal scholars. If you’re thinking about coming to SPS and haven’t, you should do it. You’ll love it!”.

We are proud of all of Dr. Felix-Jager’s academic accomplishments and are blessed to have him contributing to our faculty and educating our students.
