Life Pacific University is pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Bratun, MA, as Interim Chair of the Worship Arts & Media Program, effective August 1, 2026. Bratun will provide experienced leadership for WAM students and faculty throughout the 2026–2027 academic year while LPU continues its search for a permanent chair.

Bratun brings more than 20 years of pastoral ministry and worship leadership experience. A third-generation Foursquare pastor, he has served as Pastor of Worship and Creative Arts at The Connection Foursquare Church in Lake Forest, California, since 2012. There, he leads worship and creative ministries, coaches ministry teams, and has trained and mentored more than 30 LPU interns.

A proud LPU alumnus, Bratun earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies in 2012 and holds a Master of Arts in Worship Studies from the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. His connection to LPU includes serving as a ministry partner, guest instructor, mentor, chapel worship team leader, Worship Forum speaker, songwriting competition judge, and director of Worship Travel Teams.

“Michael demonstrates a unique combination of musical leadership, pastoral experience, and a compelling vision to develop students for excellent, Spirit-led, theologically grounded worship leadership that strengthens the local church,” said Dr. Ken Bringas, Dean of LPU Seminary.

“As a graduate of this institution, I have experienced firsthand the impact it has had in shaping both my ministry and leadership,” Bratun shared. “I look forward to investing in the next generation by helping students develop practical ministry skills, a strong theological foundation, and a genuine passion for leading God’s people into His presence.”

During this interim year, Bratun will partner with an institutional task force composed of university representatives and outside consultants to envision the future of WAM and identify strategic opportunities to strengthen and advance the program.

LPU’s search for the permanent Chair of Worship Arts & Media remains open and will continue throughout the academic year, with the search revisited in Spring 2027. Experienced worship leaders, educators, and ministry professionals who share LPU’s commitment to developing Spirit-filled leaders for the local church are invited to learn more and apply.
