Life Pacific University graduated its Centennial Class during the 2023 Commencement Ceremony. Joined by Foursquare leadership, families, and LPU alumni the weekend was spent celebrating the 158 graduates of the class of 2023 as they earned their undergraduate and graduate degrees.

Starting off the weekend with the Master’s Hooding Ceremony and the Baccalaureate, several students took the stage to share their passion for their education and their experience at LPU. Cesar Misael Linares (Master’s in Leadership Spanish), Molly Jean Crabbe (Master’s in Strategic Leadership), and Rita Jeet (Master’s in Theological Studies) spoke at the MA Hooding Ceremony to inspire the current graduate students and encourage those who will come afterward.

Students Rebekah Coleman (Traditional Undergraduate; Human Development and Psychology) and Levi Brill (Online Undergraduate; Ministry and Leadership) spoke at the Baccalaureate Ceremony, joined by Foursquare Vice President Dr. Ted Vail who encouraged the graduates. This was a special time of prayer and commissioning for the undergraduate Class of 2023.

The Commencement Ceremony was a successful celebration of the hard work and dedication, academically, spiritually, and personally of the men and women of this Centennial Class. Foursquare President, Rev. Randy Remington, joined LPU as this year’s Commencement Speaker who empowered the graduates to live a life dedicated to God and partner with Him on their journey post-graduation as they head into careers, ministries, and more.

LPU also awarded three Honorary Doctorates to Rev. Leslie Keegel, Rev. Harriet Mouer, and Rev. Ricky Temple. This time of recognition was an honor to bestow upon these 3 deserving candidates.

Legacy Professor, Mark Duzik, had the title Professor Emeritus bestowed upon him at the ceremony as he heads into a season of retirement from full-time teaching. He spent almost 40 years serving LPU and he will be greatly missed.

This senior class was a special one since it was the Centennial Year of Life Pacific University and the Foursquare Church.

Matthew Stratton, a Worship Arts and Media senior, says “My experience at LPU was life-giving. Every class felt like it was spiritually ordained and was immediately applicable to my current life, and the life that will come after graduation. LPU provided high-quality education through incredible, qualified professors that prepared me for life after college. LPU is intentional about making spaces for people to be included and foster organic, godly relationships”.
