Life Pacific University has ranked in the top ten in two separate lists provided in the Christian Higher Education Empirical Guide by Scholar Dr. Perry Glanzer and his research team. Receiving a high ranking in this guide means that the institution deeply embraces and demonstrates its Christian identity. LPU’s motto is Christ Centered, Spirit Filled, which highlights our continued commitment to keeping our academics, athletics, student life, and all we do rooted in Christ and the Word of God. In a changing world, LPU remains submitted to the authority of God, intentional about the teaching of accurate theology, and everything the institution does will continue to reflect that truth.

“This study underscores LPU’s steadfast commitment to being a Christ-centered, Spirit-filled university—a dedication shared by our board, staff, faculty, and constituents alike. It’s truly gratifying to see our values and identity recognized and ranked so highly, reaffirming our unwavering focus on prioritizing what matters most”, says LPU President, Dr. Angie Richey.

Dr. Glanzer calculated this from eleven distinct overall rankings where the sum of weighted, normalized values across 30 indicators of Christian academic values determined each school’s overall score and rank. The classification system provides a framework for determining the extent to which institutions prioritize and embrace their Christian identity. Read from Dr. Perry Glanzer about his intention for providing this Empirical Guide.

LPU ranked 4th (or second due to the tie) among CCCU and International Association of Christian Education Institutions, as well as ranked 6th (or second due to the tie) among 358 Universities. Among these colleges and universities, LPU is ranked 1st among Pentecostal institutions. You can find a full list of the rankings here.

For 100 years, LPU has been dedicated to the transformational development of students into leaders prepared to serve God in the Church, the workplace, and the world. That vision remains the same today and is what we will continue doing for the next century.
