Life Pacific University student, Marissa Ryerson, has joined the Foursquare Northwest District staff as an official intern. Marissa has been a part of the Northwest District team as an intern since January, enjoying her time serving the NextGen team and students as well as gaining knowledge and experience in leadership and behind-the-scenes ministry for her future desired career as a youth pastor. She has recently joined on the District Staff as an official intern.

Marissa is a junior, majoring in Ministry. She has served on the Associate Student Government team for the last 2 years as the Marketing and Communications Chair. Marissa is also a member of the Indoor and Beach Volleyball teams, playing since her freshman year at LPU. She was also the most recent female recipient of the Cliff Hamlow Character Award, which was given to both male and female athletes to all schools in the GSAC Conference for exceptional character, sportsmanship, and academic performance.

Marissa shares her excitement for her internship role when she says, “Interning with the Northwest District of Foursquare has been an absolute blessing. Getting connected to Reed Sowell through Office of Calling and Vocation director, Kristina Stover was definitely a divine appointment as I’m getting to work with the incredible district staff team and NextGen leaders to plan the youth portion of Foursquare Connection happening this summer. This is also setting me up for my future as my post-graduation goal is to become a youth pastor for Foursquare, so Lord willing, I hope to continue this internship into next year as well!”

LPU is always honored to celebrate the accomplishments of its student in internships, ministries, and marketplace roles. It’s a special joy to partner with Foursquare, the denomination of which Life Pacific is a part.
