Life Pacific University alumnus and West Salem Foursquare Church Lead Pastor John Fehlen, DLD, has developed a new seven-session More Than Fine Master Class in partnership with the McPherson Preaching Institute to accompany his new book, More Than Fine: The Pastoral Journey From Languishing to Flourishing.

Pastoral ministry is a profound privilege, but it can also carry a significant emotional, spiritual, and personal weight. Recognizing the unique challenges pastors face, Pastor John Fehlen, DLD, has created a new seven-session Masterclass designed to help pastors pay attention to the health of their own souls while faithfully caring for others.

Fehlen serves as the lead pastor of West Salem Foursquare Church and is an alumnus of Life Pacific University. His new book, More Than Fine, explores the pastoral journey from languishing toward flourishing and provides a framework for pastors who want to cultivate greater health and wholeness in ministry. You can purchase your copy of More Than Fine here.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the book and accompanying Masterclass, Fehlen shares:

“This book grew out of my own journey, along with several years of research into the health and flourishing of pastors. I know firsthand that ministry is an incredible privilege, but it also carries a very real weight. My hope is that this book encourages you to pay attention to your own soul as you care for others. I’ve also developed some of this material into a seven-session Masterclass in partnership with the McPherson Preaching Institute and Life Pacific University. If the book connects with you, I’d love for you to explore that resource as well.”

The Masterclass was developed through the McPherson Preaching Institute at Life Pacific University as a companion resource to More Than Fine, giving pastors and ministry leaders an opportunity to engage more deeply with the themes of the book through a structured, seven-session format.

The Masterclass is now available as part of the MPI Ministry Toolkit, a growing collection of resources designed to equip pastors, preachers, and ministry leaders for healthy and effective ministry.
