San Dimas, CALIF. – Life Pacific University was recently recognized in three national rankings in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges.
Life Pacific University ranked 5th in Top Performers on Social Mobility among regional colleges in the West by U.S. News & World Report, up from 7th place the previous year. Social mobility is an indicator that measures how well schools graduate students receiving Pell Grants. Life Pacific University is proud to be awarded this ranking as the university works to change the course of incoming students’ socio-economic standing and helps low-income students graduate and enter higher income brackets.
LPU ranked 10th for the Best Regional Colleges, up from 17th last year. This ranking is based on factors such as the student-faculty ratio and graduates’ average federal loan debt.
In addition, LPU ranked 11th for Best Value Regional Colleges in the West. This ranking indicates academic quality relative to the price paid by undergraduates, the percentage of all full-time undergraduates receiving need-based scholarships or grants, the average discount from the school’s total sticker price for full-time undergraduates, and the percentage of undergraduate students who received aid grants or scholarships.
President Angie Richey states, “LPU exists for the transformational development of students into leaders prepared to serve God in the church, the workplace, and the world. This recognition affirms the transformation that each student experiences at LPU. I am thrilled that LPU is advancing in rankings and even more pleased to see our students making a difference in the lives of their families and communities.”
Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dr. Daniel Ruarte, states, “It is so easy to focus on the challenges we have faced, but I thank God that He has sustained us. Reflecting on how we have moved up on these rankings, it is just one more reason to be grateful. This is the effort of so many LPU staff and faculty that make LPU the place it is. Let’s continue to Build Legacy!”
